Summary:
The VP Finance & IT plays a key leadership role within the organization and reports directly to the global CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Owner of all financial reporting, internal control and planning aspects of the business (controller for the business)
• Financial backbone that supports the commercial aspects of the business, product margin analysis, pricing decisions, make or buy decisions, product/asset rationalization, working capital management, capital projects, contractual arrangements, negotiations, etc.
• Leads all financial planning activities
• Direct responsibility for all facets of accounting and financial reporting
• Establish policies in conjunction with corporate standards
• Coordinate month-end and quarter end close process
• Facilitate quarterly and year end External Audit process
• Facilitate regular updates and monitoring of internal control documentation
• Coordinate internal control testing
• Provide insightful financial analyses and engage leadership to drive strategic decision making
• Treasury & payment process
• Manage Tax and general compliance
• Build and provide recommendations on business strategies in areas such as:
o Product/customer pricing
o Product/asset utilization and/or rationalization
o Integration of new acquired business in North-America
o Working Capital Management
o Capital Expenditure analysis & management
o Lead financial analysis for monthly and quarterly meetings
o Accounting for contractual purchase and sales arrangements
o Manage departmental results, budgets and forecasts for the segment
o Streamline business processes and back office operations
o Manage and analyze the flow of data between different users of data to provide timely information
o Assist in assessing and integrating new initiatives for the Finance organization
o Recruit, develop, and train the management staff and teams
• Supervise local IT team in North-America that is managed by CTO based in Amsterdam
• Ad hoc duties, as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage a finance team in the USA and a shared service team in Mexico
• Supervise IT team

Education:
• Bachelor's and or Masters degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/CPA designation or related field.
- CPA and/or MBA strongly desired
Experience:
- 10 plus years’ financial leadership experience required, including responsibility for finance operations including forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong supervisory and analytical skills required
- Must possess a high level of initiative; excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to interact with all staffing levels (front-line through to executive level) and work in a fast-paced environment; strong math skills; problem analysis and problem resolution skills; and a high degree of professionalism
- Well-developed social skills in order to foster effective internal working relationships spanning numerous business units and functions
- Ability to initiate and manage projects to completion and on time
- Effective negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong business acumen and experience in assessing operations, business processes and their relationship to accounting and reporting
- Detail oriented, deadline driven, organized, ability to handle multiple tasks while working independently or as part of a team
- Must be knowledgeable regarding GAAP accounting
- Desire to advance in the organization
- Understanding of ERP systems (E.g: Microsoft Dynamics) would be beneficial
