Product Designer Summary

We are looking for a Product Designer with a health insurance or health care background. This person will play a critical role in helping members of the plan get answers and resolutions to their questions and supporting our help team by reducing call volumes. The Product Designer will collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders, UX / Product Designer 2 product managers, researchers and developers, seeing through the design process from research and strategy through to production.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the gap between the complexities of the health care delivery system and our users needs
  • Deliver UX solutions that measurably improve desired outcomes and reduce unintended frictions in the consumer experience
  • Drive UX strategy, from concept to completion Produce artifacts that inspire and align cross-functional teams around your design solutions, including sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity design and prototypes
  • Adapt solutions to the needs of our users through their direct feedback
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Research, and Technology Facilitate a smooth handoff process, articulating detailed design requirements through annotations
  • Contribute to and maintain a unifying design system

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related degree 5+ years of experience in product/UX design and experience in a regulated industry (insurance and/or healthcare)
  • Passion for digging deep into the nuances of the complex health care system
  • High proficiency in understanding and integrating architectural abstractions and technical requirements for mobile apps and websites
  • Technical, systems-driven design thinking
  • Hunger for constructive feedback and collaboration UX / Product Designer
  • 3 Experience working inside of a Product team in a fast-paced, Agile environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity Proficiency using Figma or Sketch and maintaining design systems

Nice-to-have:  Experience building interactive components
