Saratoga Retirement Community is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Saratoga, California. We have an exciting job opening for an experienced Human Resources Partner. This is a newly developed position wherein you'll report directly to the HR Assistant Director and assume the role similar to an HR Generalist. You will be one of two HR team-members on site and will provide assistance, organization, and support to our Human Resources Assistant Director through our new shared services model of HR. While you'll work together as a team, your role will be primary responsible for new employee on-boarding and orientation, and secondarily compliance and HRIS system management.

The successful candidate will find great satisfaction in making people happy through relationship building, will be confident in onboarding and orientation processes and will be comfortable working with diverse groups and projects. You will be a connector, networker, relationship builder and trusted source of information to all that you support in human resources. You will be supported by a leadership team that is committed to one another and the employees that they serve every day.

  • Extend offers and follow through with candidates on pre-employment checks

About you: The ideal candidate will have a desire to be helpful, possess a proactive approach to issues, display strong emotional intelligence, be a self-starter, provide great customer service to staff and managers, have the ability to remain calm and collected under pressure and be respectful and professional at all times. We would love to find someone who has a passion for HR and wants to learn.
  • Three (3) years’ HR experience is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or related field is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills; especially MS Office and HRIS databases.
  • Oral and written communication skills demonstrating professionalism and influence.
  • Working knowledge of employment law.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.
    • Help us keep our seniors safe! Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster is a requirement for employment.
  • Pre-employment testing includes COVID test, drug testing, fingerprint background check, reference checks, TB test and physical examination. Weekly COVID tests are required.
