As the International Product Marketing Manager, you will help drive the Product strategy for Japan! You will drive and carry out the strategy across the products with business unit as well as play a relevant role in the strategic direction of our Japanese products; defining strategy, working in partnership with product teams, the local sales, marketing and engineering teams.

This is a high visibility position with responsibility for developing strategic product level recommendations that have substantial subscription unit and financial impact. As such, it provides significant professional development and excellent growth potential for the right individual. It is imperative that you can do in-depth customer research, have a market understanding of our key verticals, a deep understanding of Japanese typography and workflows as well as expertise in the Company products.

What you’ll do :

  • You will contribute in three key areas: Product Readiness, Local Competitive/Trends Analysis, Customer Journey; focusing in particular on the Japanese market
  • Work closely with our engineering and product teams as well as the Japan-based sales and marketing teams to realize the goal of truly world-ready products
  • Investigate local competition/trends for Company products; coordinate a broad range of internal and external business issues to successfully meet business goals
  • Champion the international experience internally with marketing, product development, sales geographies, operations groups and executives, and advocate our strategy externally with customers, technology partners and press/analyst

**Must be able to read, write, speak Japanese on a native level

  • Extensive experience with cloud based software products, experience with Cloud Based Software Products
  • Expertise in the enterprise workflows/business process management
  • Experience in Japanese typography and how it has been implemented in various software products
  • Ability to observe, clarify and document Customer needs/requirements
  • Ability to clearly detail, prioritize and validate problem statements and translate into actionable items
  • Ability to lead teams/virtual teams successfully conducting negotiations with product teams re: bug fixes, workarounds, feature request, programmatic/API changes to balance globalization and product team interests
  • Be proactive, inventive and be able to work cross-functionally and drive new business processes where needed
  • Communication, presentation and influencing skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse groups across the company, and a passion for building the standard methodologies and products in the industry
  • Localization or globalization background or understanding of issues is a necessity
  • Use of tools such as JIRA, WIKI are a plus
  • As we are hiring very specifically for Japan, this role requires bilingual English/Japanese with native Japanese language/cultural skills
  • Highly prefer MBA – Requires Bachelors degree
  • Product management experience engaging in a software development environment
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
