SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the creation and execution of training programs for the company (Field and Home Office) as well as the development and execution of medical education for TRUVIC customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.   Other duties may be assigned on an individual basis:

Sales Training

  • Create, refine and continuously update robust Sales Training curriculum, partnering with Marketing, R&D and Sales leadership
  • Manage scheduling of and lead in-person and remote new hire training for the sales seam
  • Collaborate with sales team to drive new account product introduction and evaluation
  • Support growth of Truvic product sales through reinforcement of disease-state knowledge, product messaging and clinical techniques
  • Provide support, coverage, and feedback collection during initial evaluation of new products with physicians
  • Generate ideas for new tools and programs to drive sales growth through training and feedback regarding marketing resources
  • Provide clinical input to Marketing organization for sales materials
  • Demonstrate outstanding product knowledge
  • Identify and implement selling model framework, in conjunction with VPs of Sales and Marketing
  • In partnership with Human Resources and broader company initiatives, develop and lead development programs that assist in the readiness of sales team members to take on leadership / management roles

Medical Education

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify medical education needs and utilize that feedback to prioritize medical education initiatives for the business
  • Develop medical education strategy and executional components that will enhance the adoption and consistent use of TRUVIC technology / products
  • Ensure TRUVIC evolves into a leader in the mechanical / aspiration thrombectomy market in terms of medical education investment and resources
  • Responsible for developing (and training on/delivering) content that will maintain and improve product deployment skill level of users at active accounts

Organizational Training

  • Lead organization training schedule and curriculum for TRUVIC new hires
  • Conduct training including anatomy, procedure, TRUVIC products, and competitor products
  • Establish and implement new hire onboarding process and work cross-functionally to be main point of contact for new hires
  • Establish and execute home office-based and field-based training programs
  • Develop (product?) training content for non-sales employees, coordinating with Marketing team

Other Duties

  • Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company
  • Comply with all company and HR policies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent sales experience and 10+ years related experience in the medical device field; Cath lab technician, nurse, etc. preferred
  • 7+ years previous experience in design and administration of training programs in the medical device industry
  • Is there a specific bullet that qualifies you for medical education??
  • Clinical background or strong medical device sales skills and track record is ideal
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Effective interpersonal interactions, both within the commercial group and in accounts
  • Above average reading, verbal, and written communications skills; proficiency in business English and grammar; good arithmetic skills and attention to detail to maintain records and process reports
  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel
  • Proven product knowledge in business area
