We have a talented team thriving on energy storage innovation and the company is poised for growth driven by our differentiated technology addressing validated market requirements empowering strategic business development opportunities.   We are looking for a Vice President of Sales and Marketing to provide outstanding leadership and market insights to establish and grow Company’s revenue with leading customers and partners, while creating a focused go-to-market organization. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced and highly self-motivated leader that has demonstrated a long and successful track record of establishing and growing a new business primarily through business development and technical engagement.  This is an excellent opportunity to join an early stage company and build out Company’s commercial function through business development and custom customer solutions.  You will have a tight interface with the technology and operations team and identify appropriate commercial structure while hiring key talent over the next 18-36 months.  Reporting to the CEO, you will develop new revenue-generating strategic partnerships within the medical, wearable devices, connected sensors market and beyond.   

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own Company’s go to market strategy and priorities aligned with the CEO
  • Drive entire customer and partnership engagement cycle, from lead to launch to revenue
  • Build and develop strategic business relationships with key OEMs and partners
  • Build a high-performance commercial structure capable of successfully executing initiatives with a focus on new customer acquisition and profitable and sustainable revenue
  • Create proposals, negotiate agreements, and win new business
  • Grow and manage a robust pipeline and consistently meet and exceed goals
  • Partner closely with the executive team to develop and execute an innovative marketing strategy that drives rapid growth
  • Collaborate to clearly define and establish marketing-specific metrics that have a direct impact on company revenue goals
  • Lead the overall planning, development, and alignment of Company’s external presence and brand awareness for customers, partners, prospects, investors, and the press
  • Lead messaging in partnership with the leadership team to stay ahead of market trends and establish differentiated market positioning

  • Understand how to communicate to business sponsors as well as product leads

Desired Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience in high-tech corporate environments and have played a major role in building partnerships and partnership programs
  • Engineering degree strongly desired
  • Market knowledge of the medical, wearable, and/or IOT space required
  • Battery market knowledge is a plus
  • Leadership experience in a start-up is a plus
