A position has opened up for a Staff Accountant at a company in the High Tech - Electronics field. This position is offered through Accountemps. This Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable Accountant position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a growing international company, as they are expanding overseas. Located in San Jose, California, the Staff Accountant/AP Accountant will be a temporary opportunity, however, should the candidate be a good fit for the team, there is high potential to go temp-to-hire after 4 months. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable Accountant tasks will consist of reconciling AP to the GL, processing complex AP invoices, as well as processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, month-end close. (Training on-site--moving to remote until shelter-in-place is lifted) What you get to do every single day - Facilitate internal and external audits as needed - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed - Accomplish full-cycle A/P - Carry out additional tasks as assigned - General Ledger maintenance, partner with Controller for the month-end close, preparing and posting JE's and adjusting entries The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle R12, GL knowledge, and at least 3 years experience in accounting.
