Colleen McAuliffe is looking for a Project Accountant for a South Bay General Contractor

The Project Accountant handles a wide range of tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

- Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
