OVERVIEW
A global medical component manufacturer is looking for a Regional Sales Manager – Medical components and OEM.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and leading all sales and growth strategies and activities for a specific geographic territory.
The ideal candidate for this position is self-starter with a genuine ability to develop relationships with internal and external customer to develop a final product.
You will be working from your home office in Bay Area and responsible for generating leads and responding to incoming inquiries by being a solutions provider through establishing trust with customers and ongoing relationships in a consultative atmosphere.
Ability to negotiate and close high-level executive medical device deals will be the key to success and you can grow the business through selling strategic partnerships across the entire product life cycle.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
•           Develop and lead all sales and growth strategies and activities for a specific geographic territory. Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory. Actively look for new business opportunities within an assigned sales territory
•           Grow and maintain existing relationships within the assigned territory. Coordinate field activity, promotional activity and quoting activity to ensure that sales and customer service expectations are met.
•           Identify, screen (using established criteria) and qualify new customer partnerships and opportunities that match the company’s strategic plan and Customer Value Proposition
•           Continually research, network and prospect while maintaining SalesForce information of Prospects, Leads, Opportunities, and competitors.
•           Serve as a lead account manager and provide consultative sales support to customers with the technical expertise assistance from Application Engineers in product knowledge
•           Maintain a pipeline of new opportunities sufficient at all times to meet a running 12-month revenue goal. Continually meet or exceed personal sales targets/KPIs as established within defined markets, territories or accounts
•           Analyze sales and marketing data to determine the most effective strategies to increase sales within an assigned territory
•           Prepare and deliver sales presentations, contracts and proposals subject to review by the director. Negotiate contracts/tenders within boundaries established by the director
•           Record sales activities in the customer relationship management system
•           Provide accurate and timely reporting of opportunities, prospects, and forecasts to management
•           Generate new revenue opportunities within a given strategic market, while managing existing accounts to meet and exceed annual sales and marketing plans and objectives.
•           Ensure proper collection and dissemination of project details and customer requirements to internal teams pursuant to the corporate procedures prior to quoting.
•           Collaboratively work with internal and corporate team to develop and present proposals
•           Manage the Contract review process with customers and within the company group
•           Plan and conduct strategic negotiations with customers, including concession strategies.
•           Monitor and manage relationships with current customers for current programs including business reviews and program change requests.
•           Achieve annual sales goals for the territory consistent with corporate requirements for predictability, profitability, resource availability and strategy.
•           Participate in, be accountable for departmental needs (e.g., case studies, process improvements), and contribute to developing sales and marketing strategies for the department.
•           Travel within assigned territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers by planning and organizing daily work schedule and attend nationwide trade shows several times a year.


QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the areas of business development, sales, strategic planning, and complex negotiations in B-to-B environments.
• Medical device industry experience required; developing and representing development or manufacturing services experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience providing leadership and managing multiple projects of medium complexity
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.
• Effective customer relationship development and account management skills.
• Frequent Travel (50%)
• Existing relationships with OEMs in the disposable medical device industries preferred
