We are looking to hire a Senior System Technologist for Memory and System Technology Development, a group that directly reports to the Executive VP of Intel's Technology Development.
In today's rapidly evolving world of workloads, applications and usages, there is a need to create technologies that has the flexibility to build a variety of domain specific products. For such technology definition, an understanding of trends in use, the resultant architectural solutions and design implementation to meet power/performance requirements and their associated yield/cost is needed. The Memory and Systems Technology group owns integrating the afore mentioned areas to define medium- and long-term technologies to deliver leadership Intel technology offerings. Technology areas include advanced process, stacking and packaging technologies. The senior system technologist will be responsible to define the coherent technology strategy for the various Intel businesses (data center, graphics, network/edge, and client) products. Given the cross functional nature of this role, the individual will have to collaborate with senior technologists across Intel's Technology Development organizations in Logic Technology Development (LTD), Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD), Design Enablement and Component Research (DE and CR) as well as Architects and Designers for Intel products and external customers.
Own definition of technology solutions that need to be funded and their timelines
Work with product, architecture and technology research and development teams to develop technology strategy to deliver best in class power, performance, area, and cost products.
Lead exploration of system optimization opportunities by combining key process solutions on advanced nodes as well as 3D stacking (including of mixed technologies and nodes) that deliver significant value beyond traditional process node scaling for true System-Technology-Co-Optimization.
Work collaboratively with Competitive and Industry eco-system analysis teams to keep abreast of competition on process and design for STCO, while actively pursuing opportunities for outside-in learning to accelerate internal technology development.
As a senior technologist, expected to be an active technical leader inside and outside the company. Activities include participation in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.
Masters in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Material Science
At least 10 years' experience in the semiconductor industry in process, package or device technologies and their impact to products and systems
Ability to work across diverse teams, build strong partnerships to synthesize and forecast challenges/gaps
Proven demonstration of innovating and delivering solutions for abstract problems
