The Senior Construction Manager has responsibility for safety, technical, contractual, budget and schedule activities on large water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.  The Senior Construction Manager shall have responsibility for management and contract performance across multiple construction projects.  The successful candidate will be a seller-doer, self-starter, an excellent communicator and presenter, and have proven experience performing the duties below.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): 
Performing the Duties of the Senior Construction Manager
•Serve as the construction manager on large wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements are achieved
•Supervise the project staff including: Contract Managers, Quality Assurance Manager, Inspectors, Cost Estimators, Schedulers, Office Engineers, and others
•Monitors project budgets, financial commitments and expenditures
•Assist in finding cost-effective solutions to construction issues
•Manages dispute resolution (including preparation of position papers)
•Perform complex schedule and claim analysis
•Supervise project personnel and assign duties to them and provides as needed training
•Performs constructability reviews
•Lead and manage the contract change order process, claim process, cost, document and quality assurance efforts
•Negotiate and prepare construction contract change orders and justifications
•Coordinate with Program Manager to provide necessary schedule and cost reporting
•Communicates project status to Program Manager and Client
•Prepares and implements project procedures, safety and quality plans
•Monitors project budgets, financial commitments and expenditures
•Attends and presents project status at monthly project review meetings
•Manages and coordinates sub-consultant participation on the project
•Develops and implements staffing plans in accordance with contract and project requirements
•Develops staffing projection and trend/exposure reports
•Reviews / approves Contractors’ progress payments and submits to Client
•Manages Accounts Payable (A/P) for sub-consultant invoices
•Conducts Client Expectation surveys
•Schedules Client Satisfaction and Quality Surveys
•Attends Project Status meetings with Client
•Assures performance of project personnel meets Client needs and expectations
•Attends monthly managers meeting and participate on project-status calls
Performing duties as a “Seller- Doer” in Construction Management 
•Actively participates in professional organizations and other networking venues to advance Jacobs’ relationships and business development
•Participate in strategy sessions
•Attend prospective client and project stakeholder meetings
•Lead or assist proposal efforts
•Lead or participate on interview teams
•Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license or CMAA Certified Construction Manager required
•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required
•15 years of experience as a Construction Manager in an Engineering or Construction organization required
•Leadership CM role in two or more complex WWTP projects, including responsibility for managing multiple simultaneous construction contracts
•Strong working knowledge of pre-construction, construction of WWTP systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building 
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
