Description

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a top client in the healthcare industry in recruiting for a Medical Assistant in Redwood City, CA for their Orthopedics Surgery clinic. This position is a full-time contract opportunity, lasting 3-6 months, with the possibility to be extended or converted.  The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8-5pm.
 
The Medical Assistant is responsible for all aspects of back office tasks including, but not limited to: preparing patients to see the provider, assisting with procedures, scheduling tests as requested, and performing other duties as directed.  The Medical Assistant waorks as a team with other medical assistants in the sub specialty area to provide patients with an excellent encounter.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Carry out out clinician orders and performs/assists with patient care procedures and treatments.
  • Performs technical and clerical tasks, and patient care tasks
  • Taking patients' vitals, medical history
  • Wound care and triaging experience preferred
  • Epic EMR
  •  
    Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certificate and/or diploma
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications through American Heart Association
  • Epic experience is a must
  • 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting highly preferred
