One of the most prestigious Hospital in the beautiful, warm and coastal San Francisco Bay Area is actively looking for a Manager of Information Technology IT Support to add to its reputable team of professionals.

The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk will work with a medical center that provides comprehensive healthcare services that effectively meet the needs of the surrounding community through compassionate and responsible care for over 50 years. The Manager of Information Technology IT Support will be part of a team that embraces family atmosphere, positive attitude to excel and to provide the best patient care.

The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk & Support will provide leadership for and management of the systems, services, and support provided by the Help Desk and IT Operations teams within Technical Services.  These teams are comprised of Technicians providing 24x7 coverage of frontline customer support needs, as well as back-office IT operational services.  The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk will be responsible for establishing and ensuring achievement of regular and measurable goals for the training and development of individual staff members.  The Manager IT Help Desk & Support will develop and implement processes and support structures to maintain superior service and ensures that the functional needs of the organization are understood and met. 

The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk & Support will be responsible for critical decision making and coordination, and is the escalation point for customer service and support issues.  For projects and other defined engagements, the Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk & Support ensures proper resources are assigned and acts as the primary contact, lead, and coordinator when necessary.  The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk and Support will act as a consultative resource for major systems related projects, which include upgrades, conversions, implementations, and decommissions.  The Manager of Information Technology IT Support will cover the management of all IT Help Desk, and IT Operations staff and functions for the Hospital, its campuses, and associated businesses. 

The Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk & Support is required to provide 24x7 on-call Duty Manager rotation in addition to some evening and weekend work as necessary for adds, moves, changes, upgrades, and go-lives.  Ideal candidate for Manager of Information Technology IT Help Desk & Support should have Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or Management with 5 years of experience in Information Technology with 3 years of experience within a healthcare or other 24/7 high-availability environment.
