Stanford Law School's Robert Crown Law Library seeks a collaborative, innovative, and engaged Electronic Resources Librarian to plan, implement, and manage all aspects of the electronic resource lifecycle.

Working under the supervision of the Associate Director for Technical Services, the Electronic Resources Librarian maintains responsibility for licensing and the management of electronic information resources purchased by the law library, as well as the shared consortial resources purchased collaboratively with Stanford University Libraries. In a collaborative environment, this position assists in planning and developing policies and workflows. The successful candidate will work with diverse colleagues, members of the university and vendors to resolve questions or problems related to the acquisition of and access to electronic resources as well as evaluate and monitor usage.

_This position may have a flexible work arrangement with the possibility to work as a hybrid worker with onsite and remote work each week._

**Specifically, the Electronic Resources Librarian:**

+ Partners with the Acquisitions Librarian and staff on the ordering and payment activity of electronic resources;

+ Develops and maintains tools for the management of electronic resources;

+ Establishes and documents library procedures and best practices for the acquisition, licensing, implementation, assessment, and budgeting of electronic resources;

+ Works with colleagues to provide access to electronic resources and to optimize resource discovery;

+ Works with vendors to resolve technical issues and manages EZproxy for remote access;

+ Collects, analyzes, and presents use, purchase, and availability data of electronic resources;

+ Monitors trends and best practices related to electronic resource access, discoverability, data harvesting, usage analysis, and preservation to enhance library services;

+ Works collaboratively to support metadata maintenance for electronic resources and both print and digital serials;

+ Develops and implements the Law School's submissions to a shared University institutional repository. Most notably, manages and maintains the SLS faculty working papers in the institutional repository. Oversees and coordinates IR workflows with other staff members;

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Master's degree from ALA-accredited school of library and/or information studies;

+ Two or more years of professional library experience, including electronic resource management;

+ Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills;

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, within a collegial environment;

+ A commitment to continuous service improvement and innovation;

+ Working knowledge of integrated library systems as used by collection management units, including reporting functions and the structure and management of online catalogs;

+ An aptitude for and interest in project planning and management, as well as excellent organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Demonstrated knowledge of technical services; knowledge of acquisitions and serial practices and procedures; knowledge of serial/electronic resources issues and emerging trends; knowledge of publishing trends, book and subscription trade;

+ Experience with automated library systems, preferably Sirsi Symphony Workflows or FOLIO;

+ Demonstrated knowledge of basic cataloging and bibliographic principles for both print and electronic serials.

Working Conditions

May work extended hours, evenings and weekends.
