The Construction Management Sr Manager is responsible for planning, directing, supervising and controlling construction management activities for a designated project or multiple projects including all technical, fiscal and administrative functions of contractual activities to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  
•Support management of Rail Transit Tunnel project. 
•Act as Construction Client Representative overseeing the activities of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Construction Inspectors, and Administrative personnel. 
•Administer the review/approval process of the contractor led Design-Build activities.  
•Monitor contractors’ work for compliance to schedule, Budget, Technical Specifications, and Legal Requirements.  
•Lead progress meetings and reports on project status. 
•Expedite Client directed design and field changes. 
•Coordinate the interface between the Project and adjoining contracts, adjoining utility systems, and follow-on systems. 
•Review contractor requests for change and, when appropriate, assist in the preparation of contract change orders/modifications including the negotiation contract changes. 
•Communicate and implement safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the Client’s safety vision and goals to contractors and subordinate personnel.
Additional responsibilities include:
•May supervise one or more lower level Project Managers or the and entire project staff.
•Functions as the company’s prime contact with the client and as such is responsible for promoting continuing relations. 
•May support preliminary engineering, constructability and planning projects.
•Experience in the management of construction of Rail Transit, Tunnels, Deep Excavations, Urban Construction, and Major Utility Relocations.
•Twenty (20) years of experience in Construction Management of Large Complex Heavy Civil Engineering projects.
•Verifiable supervisory experience in the management of one (1) tunnel larger than 30-foot in diameter constructed using pressurized face tunneling and precast segmental lining.
•Five (5) years of supervisory experience in the management of Major Design-Build Construction Contracts.
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
•State of California Professional Engineering registration or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
•Certified Construction Manager highly desirable.
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
