The AAA Four Diamond award-winning Chaminade Resort & Spa is a spectacular mountaintop retreat in Santa Cruz. Our historic Mission-style resort overlooks sweeping views of Monterey Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Chaminade has an exciting opportunity for a service and results driven Catering Sales Manager.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

This position works under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure all revenue goals achieved.  The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for the selling and servicing of events, including weddings, memorials, fund raisers and other social programs.  In addition to generating business from a designated market segment, maximization of sales, development of potential market segments and accounts and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail.

Make personal visits, when necessary, to call on companies and organizations located in a specific market or area.

Solicit accounts that have not had recent activity.

Foster a working relationship with all Resort departments interacting with events.

Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes, which would affect operations.

Sustain accurate forecast and recap information.

Set-up and conduct site inspections for resort

What are we looking for?

Must have 2+ years of Hotel specific catering sales including Resort Catering Sales Experience

4-year college degree preferred

Proficient with Microsoft office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Previous experience with Maestro and Delphi a plus

Must be able to work evenings and weekends
