Department Overview

We are a small, five people department that has an immediate opening for a full-time Accountant to work in our Livermore office.

Job Description

  • Performs month end closing duties and performs all related accounting functions
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations for multiple corporations
  • Assists in the preparation of various financial statements and monthly reporting
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the accounting processes
  • Ensures compliance with company accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Prepare payments to vendors, including invoice input, scheduling check and ACH payments, and other accounts payable related reporting
  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax to various states
  • Assists in performing various special projects as assigned
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the accounting processes
  • Ensures compliance with company accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

1+ years of accounting experience preferred

  • Strong system/spreadsheet proficiency (Microsoft Excel required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with departments.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, manage interruptions, establish work priorities, handle stress, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to promote a positive team member culture and core values
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards, NetSuite is a plus

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
